This afternoon we had a visit from Ms England's high school drama club. They told us three stories.
A sing-along before the show
Demonstrating a fierce bear growl
Masha and The Bear from Russia
There was a little girl who went in the jungle and saw a bear. She ran to a house. She sat in a chair and slept. And then the bear went into the house because it was his house. And the bear went into the jungle. And she made some pies. And then the bear went to the house. And she hid behind a basket. And when the bear went home, then the bear heard a girl and then the girl said, "Don't eat my cake." And then the dog bit the bear's foot and the bear ran away.
The Woodchopper and His Axe
There was a god that was a water god. And she was sleeping in the pond. And then there was a man that needed to chop down some trees for his family, because his house was cold at night. So he was cutting down trees, but when he was cutting down the prettiest tree his axe fell in the pond. And then he was crying. So the water god woke up. And she said, "Hello." But the person was cutting down the trees was scared. And she said "hello" again. And he said, "Are you friendly?" And she said, "Yes." And the man asked her if she could get his axe. But when she got the axe it was a gold axe. And he said it was not his, but he would be rich. He said to the children, "Should I take this to be rich, and save my house?" And the children said, "But you have to be honest!" And then he was like, "Yes, I'm an honest man." And then he said, "This isn't mine." And then she went back in the pond to find the axe. And this time it was a silver one. But it was still not his. He said, "Should I take this?" And the children said, "No! You have to be an honest man!" He said it wasn't his, and the water god was like "Ah!" She was like screaming like "Uh!" And then she went back in the pond. Finally, she found it! It was an iron axe. And he said, "This is rusty. Good!" And then they did a funny dance.
Someone was alone and a giant came, and then the alone person told the giant to give him a child. And the giant said, "When the child is 17 years old, the giant will come back and take the child." And the alone person told the giant to break the rule to keep the child here. And the giant got home.
