Pieter: So it's difficult for Singapore to get water, because it's a very small country. There are 4 ways and I'm going to tell you about them.
1) From Malaysia and other countries.
2) Take sea water and clean it. Take all the salt out. That takes a lot of energy up so it's bad for the environment.
3) They capture the rain and put it into dams and clean it. Singapore doesn't have rivers or mountains.
4) Reusing water is the 4th way.
This bottle is from Malaysia, this one from Germany, and this one is from Scotland. I'll show you them on the map. Malaysia is closest. It's only 1 hour to fly, one day to drive. Scotland and Germany are further away so they take longer. There's more pollution.
