During Daily 5, some students have been doing script writing. Today we acted out our shows.
We also sang some songs we've been working on, and read our narratives.
Then it was time for our speeches about our departing friends.
Emma: I'm going to really miss both Adam and Claire. Adam has always been really kind to me and so principled. And Claire is really a close friend.
Keita: Claire, you make me really laugh when I come in every day. And Adam you play with me. I'll miss you both.
Lucy: All I'm going to say, is I'm just really, really, really sad to say goodbye to both of you.
Griff: Claire, I've known you for two years now. We were in class together in K2 and Grade 1. And Adam you've been a really good friend to me. I'll miss you two.
Minzhe: Claire you are always kind to me. You include everyone. I really like you a lot.
Nora: Adam: You are so nice to everyone. You make sure you include everyone, not just play with your best friends. And you work really hard. You've written a lot of really good stories. And Claire, you are always caring to everyone. You used to be shy, but now you have really come out of your shell. You acted today so well. You are just beautiful. I hope you will keep doing it. And both of you keep working hard. I'll miss you when you move.
Aubrey: Adam I've known you for two years. This is my second year in the same class. And Claire you are always nice. I'll miss you guys.
To Claire and Adam we wish you all the best as you move to Austin and London. Please stay in touch! And to everyone else, have a great summer break and see you in August!
This morning we had our farewell assembly outside on the playground. It was a lovely morning with performances from the ISS choir, ukulele club and grade 4 dancers.
And then we surprised Mr Pinchbeck with a Flash Mob Dance.
This morning we celebrated the end of the semester with a lovely breakfast.
After the breakfast, Deirdre, Nadine and Eleanor had planned some house activities for us.
We did different relay activities, had a tug of war and performed a cheer for the teachers. It was great fun!
Afterwards we came inside and finished off the morning's festivities with a bit of dance.
On Monday was the ISS Swimming Gala. Grade 1 students took part by doing a variety of activities in the water.
